About Zona News
Zona News (zonanews.am) is an independent online news platform covering events in Armenia and around the world – politics, society, economy, sport, science and technology. We publish in both Armenian and English, aiming to present the day’s most important stories clearly, quickly, and without unnecessary noise.
What Makes Us Different
Reading the news is easy today. Understanding it is the hard part. That is why our articles do not simply stop at the bare facts – we close each one by explaining:
- What this actually means – and who it genuinely affects
- The wider context – what larger process this is part of
- What may come next – and what is worth watching
- What remains unknown – which questions still have no answer
This is our core principle: a reader should close the page not only knowing what happened, but understanding why it matters.
Our Editorial Principles
Impartiality. We do not take the side of any political force, party, or official. On contested topics we present the reasoning of all sides fairly and respectfully. Our job is to help readers reach their own conclusions, not to hand them a ready-made opinion.
Facts first. Analysis never replaces reporting. Our conclusions always rest on the facts contained in the article itself.
No sensationalism. We do not use misleading headlines, we do not exaggerate, and we do not dramatize. If a story matters, it is interesting enough on its own.
Corrections. When we find an inaccuracy – or when a reader points one out – we correct it as quickly as possible. Making a mistake is human; hiding one is not.
Respect for the reader. No aggressive advertising, no deceptive buttons, no content that degrades the reading experience.
