Despite numerous alerts from the Ministry of Internal Affairs' Cyber Police, fraudsters continue to impersonate employees of mobile operators in Armenia. They use pretexts such as "5G network upgrade," "communication quality improvement," or "technical adjustments" to persuade citizens to download special applications on their phones.
Unfortunately, new victims are still being reported as a result of this method.
Remember: installing such applications grants criminals remote access to your mobile phone. This allows them to access banking apps and steal your funds.
To ensure your security, remember that mobile operators in Armenia never request that you download any app or program via a phone call.
