168.am — Iran has proposed a new trade model to Armenia aimed at increasing the volume of natural gas exports. This was announced by Iran's Oil Minister Mohsen Paknejad during a meeting with Armenia's Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, David Khudatyan.
Paknejad emphasized that implementing the proposal requires a thorough assessment of existing infrastructure, as well as the possibility of using Armenia as a regional transit corridor to expand gas trade beyond the Armenian market. This could bring significant changes to the energy cooperation between the two countries.
It is worth noting that David Khudatyan is currently on a working visit to Tehran, and this meeting marks an important step in the development of bilateral relations.
