US State Department Issues Warning to Middle East Embassies

The US State Department has sent new security warnings to nearly all of its diplomatic missions in the Middle East, including the embassy in Israel, against the backdrop of recent tensions with Tehran and a rise in regional terrorist threats.

Messages addressed to diplomats emphasize that the situation remains complex and that, under existing tensions, unpredictable developments and sudden escalations are possible.

Additionally, the State Department has called on US citizens in the Middle East to remain as vigilant as possible and to take seriously the potential cancellation of flights, airspace closures, and other transport disruptions that could arise at any moment.

This is one of those American diplomatic moves that rarely occur without an assessment of a real threat. Notably, the warning applies not to one but to nearly all embassies, indicating the systemic complexity of the situation in the region.

In parallel, it is noteworthy that the call is also directed at private citizens, which means Washington considers incidents affecting transport infrastructure possible. Such warnings hint that the parties do not rule out a military confrontation scenario, even though they publicly avoid direct threats.
