Erdogan: ‘Gaza Has Become the World’s Largest Concentration Camp’

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan attended the International Justice Summit, where he also addressed the situation in Gaza, strongly criticizing the events unfolding there.

“Gaza has become the world’s largest concentration camp, run by an arrogant network that places itself above international law and has an insatiable appetite for killing,” Erdogan declared.

The Turkish president also stated that his country was ready to withstand all difficulties but would not turn its back on people subjected to injustice who had placed their hopes in Turkey.

According to Erdogan, more than 74,000 civilians, including women and children, have been killed in Gaza.

Erdogan’s statement indicates that Turkey is presenting the issue of Gaza not only as a humanitarian crisis but also as a matter of upholding international law. Through this approach, Ankara seeks to emphasize its support for the affected population and its own role in regional affairs.

At the same time, statements about civilian death tolls should be considered in the context of their sources and the possibilities for verification. The figure of more than 74,000 deaths cited in this article is attributed to Erdogan, and no additional information is provided about the methodology used to calculate it or its independent verification. This distinction is important when dealing with casualty figures during wartime.
