Yesterday, on October 16, a car accident occurred in Lori Province. At around 20:30 on Baghramyan Street in Vanadzor, in front of the Imperia wedding hall, a Renault driven by 43-year-old Nver S. and an Opel Astra driven by 26-year-old Emanuel G. collided.
As a result of the accident, three passengers of Nver S. were taken to the Vanadzor Medical Center.
A criminal proceeding has been initiated at the investigative department over the accident, where the identities of the vehicle owners and the injured are being established.
This section of Baghramyan Street is among the busiest in Vanadzor, and in the evening hours the flow of cars there is heavy. The collision in front of the wedding hall shows that additional safety measures at such locations are still insufficient.
It is noteworthy that the injured were only passengers of one car. Why this happened is not yet known, and the answer to this very question may clarify the actual causes of the accident.
The criminal proceeding will also establish whether there is any question of speeding or other traffic violations. Meanwhile, what remains for local residents is a familiar reality: the same street, the same hour, the same risks.
