An emergency incident occurred today, July 5, on Victory Bridge in Yerevan. Photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan of Shamshyan.com reports that around 7:40 PM, Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan, while crossing the bridge, noticed a gathering of rescuers, patrol officers, ambulance doctors, and community police.
They were speaking with a citizen who had crossed the dangerous edge of the bridge and was threatening to jump. Tigran Avinyan approached the citizen and, during a short conversation, managed to persuade him to move to a safe location.
Following this, the citizen was escorted to an ambulance.
