Bakery at Hartavan’s “88” Supermarket Suspended Over Hygiene Violations

Armtimes — Inspectors from the Food Safety Inspection Body carried out a control at the bakery operating in the "88" supermarket in the village of Hartavan, Aragatsotn Province, owned by "NN Holding" LLC, and recorded serious violations of sanitary and hygienic norms.

Specifically, it was found that the design, structure, and dimensions of the production facilities did not prevent cross-contamination flows of food raw materials and products, as well as contaminated and clean items, posing a serious risk.

The wall surfaces were not made of waterproof, washable, and disinfectable materials, and the ceilings and internal roof structures were not secure—failing to prevent dirt accumulation, mold formation, and the possibility of particle fallout.

Additionally, equipment, tools, utensils, and containers in direct contact with food were not constructed from materials meeting hygiene requirements and were not maintained in a clean and serviceable condition. As a result, the bakery's operations have been suspended, and the company's director has been instructed to take necessary measures to bring the facility into compliance with the requirements. A deadline has been set to rectify the violations.
