The color of desks in the classroom is by no means accidental, because according to sanitary rules, every size of desk and chair has its own color code, which indicates for what height of child it is intended, and a parent can easily check this without the help of any specialist.
By rules, six sizes of student desks are installed in the school, each of which has its own color code according to the corresponding height group. For a height of 1000-1150 millimeters, orange is intended, for 1150-1300, purple, for 1300-1450, yellow, for 1450-1600, red, for 1600-1750, green, and for those taller than 1750 millimeters, light blue.
Moreover, desks are arranged in the classroom by size so that the smaller ones are close to the blackboard, and the larger ones are further away. The distance from the first students' desk to the blackboard must be no less than 240 centimeters, and the maximum distance from the last seat to the blackboard reaches up to 860 centimeters.
In classrooms, students' workstations are arranged in such a way as to ensure left-sided natural lighting, while the main stream of light from the front or back of the student's workstation is strictly prohibited. In addition, current rules clearly define the temperature conditions under which outdoor physical education classes are allowed or prohibited for different age groups.
These norms directly affect the health and posture maintenance of schoolchildren. It is important to understand that the observance of furnishing rules is not only a sanitary requirement, but also a guarantee of daily comfort.
