A tragic accident occurred in Aragatsotn Province on August 27, leaving a VAZ-2106 vehicle literally split into two parts. The incident took place during the day, at around 14:00, on the 3rd kilometer of the Karakert-Arteni-Gyumri H17 highway, when the moving vehicle crashed into metal road guardrails.

Following the powerful impact, the vehicle was completely wrecked. As a result of the horrific crash, three citizens were immediately transported to the Talin Medical Center with bodily injuries of varying severity.

A criminal proceeding regarding the incident has already been initiated at the Talin Investigation Division. Law enforcement officers are currently working at the scene to determine the identities of both the driver and the injured individuals taken to the hospital.

The car splitting into two parts as a result of hitting the road guardrail indicates extreme impact force or a miserable technical condition of the vehicle. Similar severe accidents are often the result of exceeding the speed limit or driver distraction, which poses a critical threat to life on interstate and inter-settlement roads.

Currently, investigative bodies face the task of not only identifying the injured, but also uncovering the actual causes of the crash. Subsequent investigative actions will show whether a technical malfunction occurred or if the human factor was decisive.
