On August 30, at 8:40 PM, the 112 emergency response center received a report that a 43-year-old man, who had been transported to the hospital with "stab wounds," had passed away.
As a result of operative-intelligence measures, law enforcement officers determined that the man had been involved in a domestic dispute with a 28-year-old woman living in the same building. The woman, who was intoxicated, had stabbed him.
The woman has been located, arrested, and transferred to the Vagharshapat police station. The circumstances of the incident are being clarified, and an investigation is underway.
Disputes occurring under the influence of alcohol on domestic grounds continue to remain one of the primary causes of serious crimes. This case demonstrates once again how quickly a domestic argument can turn into a tragedy when one of the parties is intoxicated.
For the law enforcement system, such incidents signal the need not only for rapid response but also for preventive measures.
