The peace reached between Armenia and Azerbaijan is an unprecedented event on a global scale, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has said.
During a meeting with Sweden’s Ambassador to Azerbaijan Louise Morsing, Aliyev asserted that Baku itself is the initiator and architect of the peace agenda with Armenia.
During the meeting, Morsing congratulated Aliyev on the achievements recorded in the peace agenda between Armenia and Azerbaijan and welcomed the steps being taken to strengthen trust between the two countries.
Aliyev’s assessment of the peace shows how Baku presents the current stage of relations with Armenia, emphasizing not only the agreements reached but also its initiating role in the process. At the same time, the meeting shows that the peace agenda is also being discussed as part of Azerbaijan’s diplomatic contacts with other countries.
At this stage, attention remains focused on the continuation of steps aimed at strengthening trust, as their development will determine how the peace agenda reached between the two countries will be reflected in their relations.
