At around 6:30 p.m. on October 28, a collapse occurred in one of the houses on Yervand Otyan Street in Yerevan's Malatia-Sebastia administrative district, injuring people.

Rescuers and citizens, including neighbors, pulled one person out from under the rubble. Employees of Yerevan fire-rescue squads and the Center for Special Rescue Operations that arrived at the scene participated in the rescue efforts. Ambulance doctors provided medical assistance to the injured person on site and then transported them to one of Yerevan's specialized hospitals.

At this moment, rescuers continue search operations, trying to pull an elderly woman out from under the rubble. They are using special equipment during the work.

The cause of the partial collapse of the house is not yet clear. Several citizens gathered at the scene, who declined to speak on camera, insisted that the incident was not connected to a gas leak and that there was no leak.

Community police officers are establishing the identities of the homeowners and the injured.

To determine the cause of the collapse, it will be necessary to combine the results of the scene inspection with data on possible technical problems. Meanwhile, citizens' claims about a gas leak are not yet an officially confirmed conclusion.

The priority is to detect any possible remaining people under the rubble and bring them out safely. The search for the elderly woman continues, and efforts to establish the identities of the injured and the homeowners may help complete the circumstances of the incident. The information published at this point is insufficient to draw a final conclusion about the cause of the collapse or the condition of the house.
