Another incident has been reported in the Strait of Hormuz, where a fourth oil supertanker caught fire after striking a naval mine. Representatives of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy stated that the vessel was carrying more than two million barrels of crude oil when the dangerous incident occurred. According to the military, prior to the explosion, the tanker's crew ignored multiple warnings issued to them and continued on their course.

The vessel attempted to exit the strait via a southern route, which the Iranian side had initially officially declared unauthorized and extremely dangerous. Immediately following the heavy collision with the mine, a powerful explosion rocked the ship, triggering a major fire that continues to burn.

This latest incident in the Strait of Hormuz underscores the vulnerability of regional transport routes. In such situations, adherence to safety rules becomes a key factor for international supply chains.
