Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian in Tehran.
Pashinyan expressed condolences on the death of Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, noting that Armenia shares the grief of the Iranian people.
President Pezeshkian thanked the Prime Minister for participating in the farewell ceremony. He noted that Iran highly appreciates the position of the Armenian Government and humanitarian assistance in a difficult situation.
Pezeshkian congratulated Pashinyan on his victory in the parliamentary elections and expressed hope that bilateral relations will continue to develop.
The parties also discussed regional issues, emphasizing the importance of strengthening peace, stability and cooperation.
