A tragic incident occurred today, July 11, in Yerevan. An emergency call was received at approximately 9:50 p.m. On Ashtarak Highway, near Armenia TV, a tree was uprooted.
The large tree fell onto a car and a moped. Rescuers, patrol officers, and community police arrived at the scene. They are currently investigating the details of the incident.
Due to strong winds, the rotten tree collapsed onto vehicles traveling on the road. At that moment, a Honda car and a moped were passing by.
The moped rider died on the spot as a result of the accident. According to our information, he was a foreign national.
