Multibillionaire Warren Buffett is ending his collaboration with the Bill Gates charitable foundation, according to News.am. The decision stems from the scandal surrounding ties between Gates and financier Jeffrey Epstein.

Buffett and Gates met in Omaha to discuss the situation, with Buffett describing the connection between Gates and Epstein as "distasteful." The billionaire stated that he does not plan to resume donations to the Gates Foundation, having previously contributed over $47 billion.

Buffett is now focusing on his four family charitable organizations. He has already provided these entities with $6 billion in stock and intends to transfer his entire stake, valued at $140 billion, to them in the coming years.

Gates continues to value Buffett's contribution to his foundation highly, noting that their long-standing friendship remains intact. The Gates Foundation is currently conducting an independent review to clarify ties to Epstein.

Materials related to the Epstein case were made public in late 2025. They mention the names of numerous prominent individuals, including Bill Gates, Bill Clinton, and Joe Biden. The release of these documents became the basis for the scandal surrounding Gates.
