The VK, Max, Dzen, Odnoklassniki, and Mail.ru applications have been removed from the Google Play Store, according to factor.am.
VK stated that previously installed applications and services continue to function without restrictions. They are currently available on other platforms, including RuStore, Samsung Galaxy Store, and Xiaomi GetApps. However, according to Mash, the VK and Max apps are not available on the Huawei AppGallery.
The Max app had previously been removed from the App Store as well. The American company explained this action as compliance with sanctions. Following that, notifications for the messenger stopped working on Apple devices. Users were advised to keep the app on their phones and open it frequently to avoid missing messages.
Last week, the European Union imposed sanctions against Communications Platform, the company behind VK and Max Messenger.
