In accordance with a decree signed by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Alen Simonyan has been officially appointed as the Secretary of the Security Council, stemming from the relevant legislative requirements.
Under current legislation, this appointment was made on the basis of Article 7, Part 1 of the Law "On the Formation and Activities of the Security Council," which clearly regulates the procedures for forming the leadership of the country's security structures.
At the same time, by another separate decree of the Prime Minister, Armen Grigoryan was relieved of his post as Secretary of the Security Council.
These implemented changes have brought about significant shifts in the structure of the country's highest security body, which will subsequently impact the operations of the system.
This dismissal and new appointment take place within the framework of ongoing regular processes in the system of state institutions. The Security Council serves as one of the primary platforms for making strategic decisions in the country, and changes in its leadership directly relate to the efficiency of state governance. It will subsequently become clear how this change will affect the daily operations and future strategic steps of the structure.
