Community police officers, during operational measures, discovered and detained a 35-year-old young man near the Davtashen cemetery, who is suspected of acquiring and distributing drugs. He was brought to the police station along with the "Porsche" vehicle he was operating.

During a personal search, law enforcement officers found 31 packages containing a mass resembling crystal-type narcotics, with a total weight of 26.33 grams, as well as a dropper with a yellowish-green mass. As a result of explanatory work, the detainee confessed that he acquired 50 packages of drugs through a Telegram channel by pre-transferring 300 dollars, noting that some of the packages were in the car, and one had already been placed.

The young man, a resident of Yerevan, was presented with the relevant documents to the preliminary investigation body, where necessary actions are continuing. Within the framework of the initiated criminal proceedings, a search of the vehicle, which was moved to a specially protected area, revealed another 16 packages weighing 21.39 grams, and law enforcement officers are taking new measures to clarify all circumstances of the case.

The fight against illicit drug trafficking remains in the spotlight of law enforcement agencies, especially when crimes are organized through modern technologies and online platforms. This case once again demonstrates how Telegram channels are used for illegal transactions.

Such disclosures indicate the effectiveness of police operational work, but at the same time reveal systemic issues. Subsequent investigation must clarify the entire supply chain and the involvement of possible other participants.
