A short video has appeared in the beta version of Apple's new macOS Tahoe 26.7, demonstrating hardware capabilities related to Visual Intelligence.

In the video, a user wearing AirPods asks Siri to remember a book they are looking at. In response, Siri states that Visual Intelligence makes the world easier to preserve, allowing users to simply ask the device to remember anything they see.

The appearance of the earbuds in the video is nearly identical to the current AirPods Pro, though it is noticeable that their stems are slightly thicker. Although the actual cameras are not clearly visible, experts note that this is the first public glimpse of the device in practical operation. This macOS update also contains references to a project codenamed "B790," which includes image stream processing code.

According to previous reports, Apple is developing at least two different versions of AirPods equipped with cameras, one of which could be released as early as this year. Given that demonstration material is already present in the update, it is very likely the device will be introduced during next month's iPhone event.

The idea of camera-equipped earbuds might seem strange at first, but viewing them as a means of constant connection to the surrounding environment changes the picture. This is not simply an audio device, but an extension of wearable intelligence capable of recognizing and remembering objects around the user.

Interestingly, the company is preparing to introduce two different types of camera-enabled models with varying timelines. Their possible announcement at the upcoming iPhone presentation indicates that the technology is already ready for the mass market, even if the design remains understated.
