Europe Must Not Miss the Artificial Intelligence Wave

Europe has already missed the first digital revolution, so it cannot afford to stay behind once again in the artificial intelligence wave, as it possesses sufficient potential to withstand global competition.

That was stated by European Central Bank President Christine Lagarde, emphasizing the need for the complete formation of the single market and the integration of fragmented capital markets.

Speaking at a session of the World Economic Forum in Geneva, she stressed that to win the race against the US and China, European countries must rectify past omissions and prevent similar economic losses.

Lagarde's assessments fully coincide with the main provisions of the previous report authored by Mario Draghi, where artificial intelligence was characterized as the last real opportunity to rejoin the global technological race.

This statement directly reflects the concern of European institutions regarding the danger of falling behind in global technological competition. The fragmentation of capital markets continues to remain a major obstacle to the rapid development of innovations.
