A major car crash occurred at around 7:45 a.m. on August 23 in Armavir Province, on the 10th kilometer of the Armavir-Yerevan highway, within the administrative area of the village of Aknalich.

A Ford Transit and an Opel Vectra collided. As a result of the crash, the Opel Vectra left the roadway, while the Ford Transit struck the support structure of a gas pipeline.

One person died at the scene. Five others, who sustained injuries of varying severity, were taken to Armavir and Vagharshapat medical centers.

The description of the crash shows that the collision was not limited to damage to the vehicles: the Opel Vectra left the roadway, while the Ford Transit struck the support structure of a gas pipeline, making the incident a broader potential hazard. At the same time, the death of one person and the hospitalization of five others indicate the severity of the collision.

In connection with the incident, it is still important to establish the exact cause of the crash and the circumstances that led to the collision between the two vehicles. The available information does not provide answers to these questions, so at this stage it is not possible to determine what factor was the primary cause of the crash.
