A major and tragic car crash occurred in Shirak Province on August 23. At around 07:20 a.m., a Kia Forte and a Volkswagen collided head-on in the area of Jajur village.
As a result of the accident, one person died at the scene, while four others were taken to the Gyumri Medical Center with bodily injuries of varying severity. Bystanders were the first to render assistance to the victims, alongside rapidly responding emergency medical teams, who administered first aid on-site prior to hospital transportation.
Criminal proceedings regarding the incident have already been initiated at the Akhuryan Investigative Division.
