In the early hours of September 5, at approximately 00:20, a major traffic accident occurred on the Hayanist-Ejmiatsin highway in Ararat Province, involving three vehicles.
According to available information, the crash involved a 58-year-old resident of Armavir Province, Mkhitar H., driving an Opel Astra; a 37-year-old resident of Ararat Province, Armen H., driving a Mercedes; and a 38-year-old resident of the same province, Armen D., driving a Ford Transit.
Two injured individuals were taken to the Masis Medical Center with bodily injuries and are under medical supervision.
The Investigative Division of Masis has already launched criminal proceedings, and investigators are clarifying all the circumstances of the incident, including the identities of the injured and the exact cause of the crash.
This accident once again underscores the importance of heightened vigilance on the roads during nighttime hours, as fatigue and poor visibility often lead to similar collisions.
Interestingly, all three drivers involved in the collision are residents of neighboring provinces, and the key question at this point remains who among them, or under what circumstances, violated traffic rules—a matter that the investigation will clarify.
