Tensions that arose at the workplace reportedly preceded a recent stabbing involving two employees of Viva Armenia, with one of the reasons for the tension allegedly being that they did not greet each other.
The relationship between the two men had been tense for some time, after which they decided to meet outside the workplace to settle their differences. An argument broke out during the meeting, ending in a stabbing.
On September 9, 44-year-old Roman Selikyan was taken to Aramyants Medical Center in Yerevan with a cut wound to the neck area. According to law enforcement authorities, the incident took place between 2/2 Mashtots Avenue and 4/1 Argishti Street.
Fifty-year-old Vardan Dalakyan was detained in connection with the incident and also handed over to law enforcement the knife allegedly used in the crime. A criminal proceeding has been initiated on suspicion of attempted murder.
What stands out in the description of the incident is that the tension that arose at the workplace did not remain at the level of everyday disagreements: according to the information provided, the parties decided to meet separately to settle their differences, after which the situation escalated into a stabbing.
