Kristinne Grigoryan, Head of the Foreign Intelligence Service, has traveled to Azerbaijan to participate in the 4th Baku Security Forum. This was confirmed by Melanya Harutyunyan, spokesperson for the Armenian Prime Minister, in response to an inquiry from Factor.am.
According to reports, Grigoryan was transported to Baku on a Gulfstream G450 business jet belonging to the family of Khachatur Sukiasyan, a former member of the Civil Contract faction. The same aircraft had transported Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan to Germany on September 18.
Participation of Armenia's foreign intelligence chief in the Baku Security Forum is a notable development, especially given that the same aircraft used for her trip was employed for the Prime Minister’s visit to Germany on September 18. This indicates that high-level contacts are continuing, although details remain limited.
A question arises regarding the agenda of this visit and whether it will lead to new agreements. For now, official comments are limited to confirming her participation.
It remains to be seen how political forces will react, particularly given the involvement of an aircraft belonging to a former member of parliament's family.
