Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan, leader of the Tavush Diocese, has filed a lawsuit against Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. This information was reported by AuroraNews, citing the DataLex system.

Archbishop Bagrat demands that, within 5 working days of the court judgment entering into force, Pashinyan publicly retract information that damages his honor, dignity, and good reputation.

The retraction must be published on the official websites of the Armenian government and the Prime Minister, as well as in a media outlet with a print run of at least 5,000 copies.

The required text of the retraction is as follows: “RETRACTION: I, Nikol Pashinyan, declare that the assertions I made during a Q&A session with journalists after the Government session on 11.06.2026, claiming that ‘the Civil Contract Party received 100% organic votes, while the other forces received 100% of votes through electoral bribery… Without money, no one voted for them, absolutely no one,’ do not correspond to reality and constitute defamation against Vazgen Petros Galstanyan, a citizen of the Republic of Armenia who voted for another political force in the elections.”

Archbishop Bagrat also demands that Pashinyan pay 49.7 AMD as compensation for non-pecuniary damage, as well as the amount of the state duty paid in advance.
