Two fellow servicemen have been arrested in connection with the death of Narek Torosyan, who died at Ministry of Defense Military Unit N on July 21. The Investigative Committee’s press secretary, Kima Avdalyan, announced that criminal proceedings have been initiated against both individuals.
The two soldiers are accused of negligently leading their comrade to suicide (under Article 522, Part 2 of the RA Criminal Code). They have been detained, and the investigative body has submitted a motion to the court to apply detention as a preventive measure.
