Radar.am — Armenian students have achieved excellent results at the 10th anniversary European Junior Olympiad in Informatics held in Kaunas, Lithuania. The competition, which is held in the format of the International Olympiad in Informatics, featured 100 students from 25 countries who spent two days solving complex programming tasks.

The Armenian team consisted of four students: Mamikon Hambaryan, Hayk Adamyan, Vache Kocharyan, and Levon Hayrapetyan, who represented various educational institutions across the country. Our team returned home with two silver and two bronze medals. Specifically, Vache Kocharyan and Mamikon Hambaryan were awarded silver medals, while Levon Hayrapetyan and Hayk Adamyan received bronze medals.

The success was driven not only by the students' knowledge but also by the work of team leaders Alex Grigoryan and Tigran Matsakyan. Armen Andreasyan represented Armenia on the international committee of the Olympiad. Last year, at a similar competition held in Bulgaria, our team won one silver and two bronze medals, which testifies to the continuous growth of the educational level of young Armenian programmers.
