RT — The first magnetic storm of August has been recorded on Earth, marking the sixth such event this summer. The latest discharge of solar plasma reached our planet a few hours ago, but geomagnetic activity levels have only now reached storm status.
Currently, the intensity of the magnetic storm is estimated to be between G1 and G2, indicating that it ranges from weak to moderate levels. Earlier, specialists from the Academy of Sciences' Space Research Laboratory warned of the probability of such activity, which is driven by processes occurring on the Sun.
