Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev believes that Western countries will maintain interest in Armenia only as long as the country serves as a tool in the struggle against Russia. He argues that once Armenia ceases to be useful in the geopolitical conflict, the West will instantly forget all the promises it made.
