New question banks for the theoretical exams required to obtain a driver's license have already been published on the roadpolice.am platform. They are available in Armenian, Russian, English, Arabic, and Persian, and the question banks are divided into two main groups: A, B, C and D, T.

The question bank for the A, B, C category group includes 1,050 questions, of which 11 are new. This group is intended for obtaining the right to drive mopeds, motorcycles, tricycles, quadricycles, as well as light passenger and cargo vehicles without a trailer.

The question bank for the D, T category group includes 1,380 questions, of which 437 are new. It is intended for obtaining the right to drive buses and trolleybuses.

The new questions will be included in the tests 30 days after publication.

The quality of the images accompanying the questions in the question banks has also been improved. During their development, citizens' observations and suggestions were taken into account, including feedback on errors previously recorded in translations. Relevant corrections were made, and semantic issues were also eliminated.

We recall that starting September 1, 2026, theoretical exams for obtaining a driver's license are conducted under a new procedure: the previously existing unified question bank has been differentiated by groups of vehicle categories.

"The new approach makes it possible to more specifically assess applicants' theoretical knowledge, which is necessary for the safe and legal driving of the relevant vehicle," the Interior Ministry's statement says.

The differentiation of question banks by category groups is in itself a logical step, but it is noteworthy that the number of new questions in the two groups has a completely different proportion: in the A, B, C group, the renewal is symbolic—only 11 questions out of 1,050—while in the D, T group, 437 out of 1,380 questions are new. This may mean that the requirements for bus and trolleybus drivers have been significantly revised, while the existing question bank for light transport applicants has remained almost unchanged.

The correction of translation and semantic issues based on citizens' observations is a positive signal, especially considering that the question banks are available in five languages. Tests in five languages, in the case of mistranslation, can unfairly affect an applicant's result, so such corrections are not a formality but directly affect the fairness of the exam.

The coming 30 days will also test in practice the effectiveness of the new approach: how well the new questions correspond to real traffic situations, and whether applicants will be ready for the new format. Meanwhile, the improvement of the quality of the question banks remains the most tangible change.
