Around 630 million AMD, deposit interest, shares in real estate, and a parking space will be confiscated from Serzh Sargsyan, the third President of Armenia, in favor of the Republic of Armenia. This was announced by the Prosecutor General's Office.
On July 3, the Anti-Corruption Court partially satisfied the Prosecutor General's Office's lawsuit against Serzh Sargsyan and persons affiliated with him regarding the confiscation of property of illicit origin.
After the court act enters into legal force, 38% of an apartment located on Teryan Street in Yerevan's Kentron administrative district and one parking space in its entirety are subject to confiscation in favor of the Republic of Armenia. 38% of another parking space at the same address will also be confiscated.
In addition, total deposits of 202 million 998 thousand AMD, accrued interest of 74 million 716 thousand AMD from these deposits, as well as interest calculated on the deposits and interest until the actual execution of the judgment, are subject to confiscation. Also subject to confiscation is 352 million 438 thousand AMD.
