Hetq — Within the framework of a case regarding the confiscation of illicit assets, the Anti-Corruption Court has issued a significant ruling. Shares of the Yerevan Ararat Brandy-Wine-Vodka Factory OJSC, owned by businessman Gagik Tsarukyan, have been transferred to the Republic of Armenia for management and custody.

In October 2023, the Prosecutor General's Office filed a lawsuit demanding the confiscation of illicit assets from Gagik Tsarukyan and his affiliates. As part of this process, on July 29, the prosecution filed a motion for interim measures, which involved transferring the management of the factory's shares to the state.

The court granted the motion on July 30. Currently, the company's management is being handled by the Ministry of Economy.

This is not the first such instance within this case. On July 15, the court issued a similar ruling regarding Araratcement CJSC, the management of whose shares was also transferred to the Republic of Armenia. The Prosecutor General's Office continues to take steps aimed at the confiscation of illicit assets.
