24news.am — A tragic incident occurred in Yerevan on August 1st. In the afternoon, the Mashtots police department received a report that a citizen had jumped from the Kievyan Bridge. Law enforcement officers immediately arrived at the scene to carry out necessary operations and clarify the circumstances of the event.
Police and patrol officers cordoned off the area to allow the investigative team to work without obstruction. It was confirmed on-site that the body of a woman had been discovered under the bridge, leading the investigative department of the Ajapnyak and Davtashen administrative districts to initiate criminal proceedings.
Investigators have identified the deceased. She was 53-year-old Yerevan resident Svetlana D., who was a pianist by profession. Law enforcement authorities are currently taking all necessary measures to clarify the full circumstances of the incident.
