Lurer.com — On the night of August 1, Kyiv was subjected to a massive attack, during which Russian forces deployed ballistic missiles and drones. As a result of the tragic attack, at least nine people have been killed, and the number of injured has reached thirty, including children who are currently receiving medical care. Serious damage was recorded in seven administrative districts of the capital, with fires breaking out in residential and non-residential buildings, as well as localized power outages.
A five-story building was damaged in the Solomianskyi district, where emergency services managed to evacuate thirty-five residents from the upper floors, while in the Darnytskyi district, numerous vehicles, residential homes, and administrative buildings were affected by the strikes. The Russian Ministry of Defense officially confirmed the strike, claiming that the targets were defense industry enterprises and logistics centers, though the Ukrainian side has circulated different information regarding the nature of the struck objects.
During the same period, Russian air defenses reported the destruction of two hundred and seventy-four Ukrainian drones, which, according to them, were shot down over various regions and water areas. In parallel, tensions on the Ukrainian front are not subsiding; a record number of military clashes—243 incidents—were recorded over the past day. The most intense fighting took place in the directions of Pokrovsk, Kostiantynivka, and Sloviansk, where Russian forces continue their intensive assaults. In response, Ukrainian missile forces launched strikes on Russian command posts, troop concentration areas, and military depots.
