Lurer.com — A horrific incident occurred on July 31 at the first entrance of 22 Sisakyan Street in Yerevan, resulting in the hospitalization of four people. Around 7:00 p.m., as citizens attempted to use the elevator, it suddenly detached from the 8th floor and plummeted down the shaft.
Police arrived at the scene to investigate the circumstances of the accident, while ambulance crews immediately transported the victims to Armenia Medical Center. The injured include 39-year-old Russian citizen Sergey G., as well as Yerevan residents Narine A. (60), Meri H. (50), and Satenik H. (43).
Law enforcement officers carried out necessary procedures at the scene to document the evidence. The case files have now been transferred to the Investigative Committee, where criminal proceedings have been initiated to uncover the circumstances surrounding the elevator malfunction or potential violations in its operation.
