Karen Khachanov has successfully cleared the second-round hurdle at the US Open in New York, advancing to the round of 32.

In a tense and competitive match, the Armenian tennis player defeated world No. 4, Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime, in four sets with a score of 6:7 (5:7), 6:3, 6:2, 6:2. Following a battle that lasted nearly 3 hours and 20 minutes, Khachanov secured his place in the next stage of the tournament.

In his next match, Khachanov will face Frenchman Benjamin Bonzi, who currently holds the 97th position in the world rankings. The total prize pool for this year's US Open is $108 million, and Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz is defending his title as the reigning men's singles champion.

Khachanov's victory is impressive not only in terms of the score but also psychologically. Defeating the world No. 4 demonstrates that the athlete is in good form and is capable of providing serious competition even to the highest-ranked tennis players.

Now, the focus shifts to the meeting with Frenchman Benjamin Bonzi. Although the opponent is lower in the rankings, Grand Slam tournaments often spring surprises, so the upcoming match will not be an easy walkover.
