Swimmer Hovhannes Gabrielyan has set a unique sports record, becoming the first person to swim across the entire length of Lake Sevan, covering a total distance of 74 kilometers. The athlete's unprecedented swim lasted nearly 34 hours, during which he remained in the water continuously, overcoming all natural challenges and physical fatigue.

Following this prolonged and exhausting endeavor, the athlete is currently under medical supervision. Specialists are monitoring his health, helping his body recover its strength as quickly as possible.

Crossing Lake Sevan on this scale is an important milestone in the sports world, demonstrating the limits of human potential. The 74-kilometer distance is not just a measurement, but a rigorous test of psychological and physical endurance.

This achievement could serve as a catalyst for the development of open-water swimming culture in Armenia. In the future, similar initiatives may also spark new tourism interest in Lake Sevan.
