Iravaban.net — During the first half of the year, officers from the Lori Regional Department of the Criminal Police conducted large-scale operations, resulting in the resolution of numerous grave and particularly grave crimes and the prosecution of dozens of individuals.

One of the most high-profile cases involved the neutralization of a 16-member group with nationwide reach. During the investigation into this group's activities, 24 criminal episodes were uncovered, including preparations for murder, kidnapping, and crimes related to criminal subculture, involving the participation of "thieves-in-law."

Another successful operation targeted a 19-member criminal organization which, according to the preliminary investigation, had been led for years by two brothers residing in Vanadzor. They operated using specialized technical equipment and were involved in preparing for large-scale theft, as well as attempting to interfere with the activities of public officials.

Law enforcement also neutralized an 8-member criminal group composed of criminal elements, with 13 episodes of grave crimes recorded in their activities. These include preparation for armed robbery, illegal possession of firearms, and hooliganism. All members of the group have been detained, including a criminal authority from Vanadzor who has been charged with participation in a criminal subculture.

Preliminary investigations into all these cases are ongoing. At the same time, thanks to this active work, no cases of murder were recorded in the Lori region during the reporting period.
