European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, during a meeting with the Prime Minister of Armenia, clearly emphasized that the European Union is ready to fully support Armenia in resisting potential pressures from Russia. The EU guarantees that if Russia decides to close its market to Armenian products, Europe will open its doors wide to Armenia, allowing Armenian goods to be exported to the European market of 450 million consumers.

In addition, the European Union intends to deepen cooperation by investing in infrastructure projects that will make Armenia a vital link in the routes connecting Europe to the South Caucasus and Central Asia.

To this end, the EU has already provided 200 million euros in assistance and is prepared to leverage this support to reach up to two billion euros. With these steps, the European Union aims to provide Armenia with economic alternatives and a strong foundation for making independent decisions in difficult political circumstances.
