Armenia and Azerbaijan Delimit 13km Stretch of Border

Armenia and Azerbaijan have delimited approximately 13 kilometers of their state border. This was announced by Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov.

The parties have established special commissions and are working regularly toward border delimitation and demarcation. According to Bayramov, the sides have reached certain agreements. The work will continue from north to south, and issues related to exclaves will also be discussed.

The total length of the state border between Armenia and Azerbaijan is approximately 1,007 kilometers, according to official data.

On August 11, 2025, the two countries announced the renunciation of territorial claims. They released a 17-point draft of a peace treaty. The document was initialed on August 8 during a visit by Nikol Pashinyan and Ilham Aliyev to the United States. U.S. President Donald Trump acted as a mediator.
