Apple plans to release its first foldable smartphone, the iPhone Ultra. It will likely be introduced alongside the iPhone 18 Pro series. However, the device's launch could be delayed.
The company has encountered some production issues. As a result, Apple may repeat its 2017 strategy with the iPhone X. The smartphone will be unveiled in September, but orders will not open until weeks later.
Pre-orders for the foldable iPhone will be available no earlier than October 2026. Analysts predict that the device will cost between $2,299 and $2,499 in the U.S.
The demand for the new phone is expected to be very high, likely exceeding the current supply.
