168.am — The Investigative Committee of Armenia has uncovered a case of trafficking involving a minor and their father, with two individuals implicated in the crime. The investigation revealed that H.M., along with his brother-in-law H.S., exploited a debt of 40,000–60,000 drams owed by the minor, A.P., and their father, Y.P., as well as the minor's mental health issues. Taking advantage of these circumstances, they subjected the victims to trafficking.
Between August and September 2025, the criminal group forced A.P. into labor, resulting in severe consequences and inflicting deep psychological and emotional suffering on the child. Law enforcement officers identified the perpetrators and decided to initiate public criminal prosecution against them under the article concerning the trafficking or exploitation of a child or a person in a helpless state.
Currently, one of the accused is under house arrest, while the other is subject to a travel ban. The criminal proceedings have concluded, and the case, along with an indictment, has been forwarded to the supervising prosecutor.
