Iravaban.net — On July 22, 2026, an ambulance crew in Yerevan was dispatched to a building on Sisakyan Street, where they recorded the death of N.R. Although the emergency call reported a case of fainting, subsequent investigation revealed that a murder had actually taken place.
Joint efforts by the Investigative Committee and the police established that N.R.'s death was preceded by an argument over money. During the altercation, the man inflicted brutal blows on the victim, causing fatal injuries. To cover up the crime, he called emergency services himself and lied, claiming the victim had simply fainted.
Forensic medical examination confirmed that death resulted from shock caused by closed, blunt force trauma to the head, neck, and chest. Based on the gathered evidence, the investigator submitted a motion to initiate public criminal prosecution, which the prosecutor granted. The suspect has been remanded in custody as a preventive measure.
We remind you that a person is considered innocent until proven guilty by a final court verdict.
