Across the country, the police continue to carry out special operations aimed at preventing criminal activity and monitoring potential crime hotspots. Between July 22 and July 31, police conducted sweeps at approximately thirty such locations, resulting in 425 citizens being brought to various police departments. During these operations, individuals wanted by law enforcement were also identified and detained.
During the inspections, police discovered various types of illegal items, including firearms and gas pistols, rifles, brass knuckles, knives, and narcotics. Law enforcement officials assure that these operational-preventive measures, aimed at ensuring public order and safety, will be continuous.
