Netanyahu Rejects Trump’s 15-Point Gaza Plan

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has announced the rejection of the 15-point plan presented by US President Donald Trump’s Peace Council. He stressed that Israeli forces will not be withdrawn from the Gaza Strip until Hamas is completely disarmed.

Immediately following this statement, a Hamas representative noted that Washington should exert pressure on Israel to accept the proposed plan.

Back in July, Trump stated that progress was being made on a plan to end the war and establish a ceasefire, which both Israel and Hamas had approved last year. According to the US President, Hamas, which has controlled the Gaza Strip for nearly two decades, had agreed to lay down its arms. Nevertheless, Israel continues to strike Gaza, despite agreeing last October to maintain the ceasefire.

At a cabinet meeting, Netanyahu also addressed Iran’s nuclear program. He vowed that regardless of diplomatic efforts by the US and Arab nations, he would not allow Tehran to acquire nuclear weapons.

"I want to emphasize once again: with or without an agreement, as long as I am prime minister, Iran will not have nuclear weapons," the Israeli prime minister declared.

The rejection of the 15-point plan for Gaza highlights serious disagreements between Washington and Tel Aviv. Despite diplomatic efforts by the White House, Israel refuses to make concessions, prioritizing the complete disarmament of Hamas.

This situation complicates the regional stabilization process. If the US fails to exert pressure or find a new compromise, military operations in Gaza could be prolonged indefinitely.

At the same time, Netanyahu’s firm rhetoric regarding Iran’s nuclear program underscores that Israel does not intend to rely solely on international agreements.
