Lawyer Alleges Brother Was Brutally Beaten by Patrol Officers

On August 1, lawyer Roman Yeritsyan announced in a video message that about ten patrol service officers subjected his brother to severe violence, claiming the car was parked in an unauthorized place.

He detailed that during the incident, tear gas was sprayed into his brother's face, causing him to temporarily lose his vision, after which they broke his arm.

The citizen subjected to violence was arrested and taken to the Arabkir police department, from where he was later released because the court rejected the motion for detention and recognized the arrest as unlawful.

This incident raises serious questions regarding the proportionality of the use of force by law enforcement. Although the patrol service is called upon to ensure public order, such cases give rise to deep concerns among the public. Further developments will show what legal assessment will be given to these specific actions.
