On September 6, a car accident occurred in the Gegharkunik region. Around 1:20 p.m., on the 5th street of Geghhovit village, a 16-year-old identified as A. G. crashed his Mercedes into a pile of rocks, causing the vehicle to overturn and land in the middle of the roadway.

As a result of the crash, the driver and a passenger were transported to the Martuni Medical Center with bodily injuries, where they are currently receiving medical care.

A criminal proceeding has been initiated at the investigative department regarding the incident. Investigators are working to identify the owner of the vehicle and the injured parties, as well as to determine all the circumstances surrounding the accident.

Although driving by minors is strictly prohibited, this incident highlights that the issue remains a pressing concern, especially in regional areas where oversight may be less stringent.

There is no official statement yet regarding the current health condition of the victims, raising questions about whether sufficient preventive measures are being taken to avoid such incidents, particularly when minors who lack a driver's license altogether are involved.
